We're headquartered at 101 Mody House, Sector 19C, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Climate change, rising input costs, and growing scrutiny of chemical residues are reshaping agriculture and industry worldwide — and biotechnology is increasingly where the answers are coming from.
The trouble is that speed and yield are sometimes chased at the expense of sustainability. Our approach has been the opposite: we've spent close to two decades studying how agriculture was practised over thousands of years, drawing wisdom from naturopathy and Ayurveda — strengthening plants and systems from within, and intervening on pests before they take hold rather than after.
We've built relationships with some of the most established agriculture and biotech companies in India, and we actively take part in research, product development, and field trials in some of the toughest crop-protection environments there are.

Prior to Johnson Global, Mr. Johnson held roles across major Indian industrial groups — including Orkay Polyester, the Prakash Group, and a long tenure at Reliance Industries Limited, India's largest private-sector enterprise.
At Reliance and its associate companies, he worked on supply-chain and modernisation initiatives spanning packaging, warehousing, automation, logistics, and containerised road, rail, sea and air movement — including cold-chain and disaster-relief logistics. He was part of the team that helped establish a network of over 3,000 farm collection centres, 130 processing centres, and more than 1,400 store logistics centres across India.
That grounding in large-scale agricultural supply chains is a big part of why Johnson Global thinks as much about how a biological product survives distribution and application in the field as it does about the microbiology itself.
Dr. Johnson is a physician holding a Master's in Public Health from Purdue University in the United States, with a major in epidemiology and family & community medicine. His clinical background includes intensive care and step-down units for multi-organ transplant and life-support patients.
Having seen first-hand the health impact of pesticide exposure, he's a committed advocate for organic food systems, and leads Johnson Global's research into growing residue-free produce as a matter of community health — alongside broader work in vertical farming, animal nutrition, and yield improvement across rice, wheat, sugarcane, horticulture, floriculture, dairy, poultry, and plantation crops like coffee and pepper.
Pest management broadly comes down to four approaches. We chose to specialise in the one that takes longest to get right, because it's the only one that keeps working without repeated intervention.
Breeding or engineering plants to naturally resist pests. Effective in theory, but takes years of cultivar development and sits uneasily with non-GMO, organic farming goals.
Pheromone-baited traps that attract and remove pests. Useful for monitoring populations, but needs constant servicing and doesn't reach pests already hidden inside a host.
The fastest fix, and the most damaging. Imprecise dosing, no single broad-spectrum product, and residues that build up in soil, water and the food chain over time.
Using a pest's natural enemies — nematodes, beneficial microbes — to control outbreaks. Slower to establish, more knowledge-intensive, but self-sustaining once it takes hold.
